The Gateway Cross Cup in St. Louis served up the most challenging course in its four year history. Brian Matter bided his time before making a big move on the final hill for the win.
Joe Maloney is trying his hand at the Chicago Cross Cup. At Hopkins Park, he had to fight his way up from the last row (his original staging position) just to get to the leaders.
You’ll see the red, white and yellow of Team Wisconsin at cross races throughout the state and at Nationals again this year. Racers compete in every major category and have already placed on the podium.
Team Wisconsin had 5 riders in the Top 100 Club. Brian Matter won the Chequamegon Fat Tire 40 mile MTB race. KS/TW also had Joseph Maloney II in 10th, Bryan Fosler in 26th, Jason Balden in 33rd and Tyson Hausdoerffer in 58th.
The Wisconsin Off Road Series concludes with 3 more races, Lake Geneva, Franklin, and Sheboygan. 5 elite riders have been representing KS on the dirt this year as the series unfolds, Brian Matter, Joe Maloney, Tim Racette, Tyson Hausdoerffer, and Jason Balden.
