Matt Wittig Memorial Report

This past weekend was the Matt Wittig Memorial Race held in Muskego Wisconsin. The race remembers Matt for what he loved, bike racing. With Matt’s membership on the UW Cycling club combined with many of the KS Energy Services/TW riders riding for UW, a special bond exists which those riders wanted to express.

Martin Marches to Omnium Podium Place

LA CROSSE — Just seconds stood between Alex Martin and the overall omnium victory after a weekend of intense racing. His second-place finish followed racing, which included a Saturday morning road race, evening hill-climb time trial, and a criterium in downtown La Crosse Sunday.

Joe Martin Stage Race Report

The first stage of the 4 day event was a nearly 3 mile time trial up the side of Devil’s Den State Park, just south of Fayetteville Arkansas, gaining around 700 vertical ft, with an average gradient of 6.8%. With the mercury pegging the temperature at around 80 degrees in shade, and the sun and moderate humidity making it feel warmer.

Strong Performance by KS/TW at GDVC #1

On a windy April morning with rain threatening to fall, the first race of the WCA calendar had a sizable group of KS/TW riders ready to race. The course is a very fast, somewhat flat 3 corner crit which twists its way through a commercial research park west of downtown Madison. Winds were gusting at 30 mph and holding steady at 20 mph, bring heavy rain later in the day.

Gage Lights Up Superweek Finishing 3rd Overall, Awarding Upgrade

Gage Rodriguez raced 9 of the 17 Superweek races and not only earned his Cat 3 upgrade points (a season goal) but also finished 3rd overall in the Cat 4/5 series. With the help of his team mate Tim Racette Gage was able to gain confidence, get five second place finishes, and a Win and the Whitnall Park Crit.

Travis Miller Kicks off Superweek with a Win!

GENEVA, IL — 7/09/11 — I went down to Geneva (Chicago) for the first day of superweek. The race is in a nice neighborhood and the course was interesting with many turns.

In its third year of existence, the Tour of America’s Dairyland seams to be enjoying its best year to date.

KS/TW Finishes Strong at Wisconsin State Road Race Championship

KS Energy Services/Team Wisconsin took to the roads on a beautiful sunny day in Spring Prairie for the Wisconsin State Road Race Championships. The heat and a long steep finishing climb made for a tough day of racing.

KS/TW Wraps up MMD Weeked with Quad Cities Criterium

The last race of the weekend brought with it sunny skies and a temperature in the 90’s, with a stiff wind to boot. Perfectly harsh conditions and one more opportunity for KS Energy Services / Team Wisconsin to assert itself as one of the premier cat 3 road squads in the Midwest.

Melon City Pro 1, 2 Race Report

Day 3 of the Memorial Day Weekend racing began with strong winds and heavy thunderstorms. The sun eventually fell on the men’s Pro/1/2 field as they began taking their laps around Weed Park in Muscatine, IA for the 33rd annual Melon City Criterium. Steady from the start, the pace rarely dipped below 30mph.
