If the Trek 100 is Thanksgiving, ToAD must be Christmas…

Even if you aren’t racing or donating, you can’t help but notice all of your friends getting out and racing or volunteering for such awesome events being held around the State.

The WCA calendar is quickly coming to a close. Before you know it the State Criterium Championship and the State TT mark New Year’s Eve, and finally the Spring Prairies State Road Championship is the last day of the road cycling calendar for many Wisconsinites.

So this brings about some time for reflection. Were you naughty, were you nice, did you do your intervals and cadence drills? How was the season for you? Every year we ask these proverbial questions during the changing of the calendar year, so why not do the same during for the race year calendar?

This season has been a trying one. Spring never really sprung, we had one of the longest and worst winters in years, and the Cyclocross hangover from Worlds and Nationals was blissfully painful. And now, here we are figuring out what we did wrong and right.

Maybe you’re still waiting for ‘cross season to start, or you’re still chasing around WORS points, maybe the track is your thing… anyway, here’s to next year. Good luck, and hopefully we’ll see you ringing cowbells if you aren’t lining up this ‘cross season.
