Midwest Orthopedic Specialty Hospital Provides Critical Support

The KS Energy Services/Team Wisconsin was extremely happy to bring on The Midwest Orthopedic Hospital as a major sponsor for the 2013 season. We knew it would be a special relationship, but it’s been more than we could have hoped.

Often times in the cycling world, non-cycling relationships are mostly cash based, but The MOSH has quickly become one of the family. We thought we would share why. The simple answer is their commitment to keeping people healthy.

The MOSH has repeatedly gone above and beyond what we expect; helping multiple team members get through injury and back to racing.

Our main contact, Mark, seems to be only a call away as he’s made a few friendly house calls to check out swollen ankles and wonky knees. He and the entire MOSH team know the importance of time when dealing with injury. This includes getting an appointment with the appropriate specialist quickly.

One example of this was during Wisconsin’s biggest annual race, the Tour of America’s Dairyland. ToAD is a 9 day series that races on the amazing Wisconsin dairy roads. When a critical member of the Elite team was experiencing back pain, Mark literally came to the rescue and worked some “ninja magic” to help the rider not only finish the series, but be back to top form.

Another example was during the Menomonee Park criteium when a rider went down injuring his shoulder. Mark took time out of his weekend to check it out and point the rider in the right direction to getting it patched up. He even continued to exchange text messages with the rider to make sure he was all taken care of. All of this off the clock.

There is only one explanation for this type of treatment; The MOSH staff is genuinely interested in providing the best healthcare possible. They love doing their jobs which is good because everyone loves a good experience at the doctors.
