Wheaton rides at the 4-person TTT National Championships!!
Sunday Sept 7th marked the day for the annual 4 person Team Time Trial which has been organized by the American Bike Racing Association (ABR) down in Utica IL for many years. Wheaton was fortunate to be able to assemble a fast team to contend the overall with Elite guest riders Stu Grinell, Marc Zionts, and this year USAC Masters Nationals 50-54 Road Race Champion Wayne Simon. Team Prez Dave Eckel rounded out the fantastic four in the 31 mile effort.
With a time of 1:05:31 and avg speed of 28.6mph the team won the ABR 40+ National Championship age class and gave the pro/open teams a run for their money with the 3rd fastest time of the day.
A big thanks go’s out to guest riders Marc, Stu and Wayne for representing Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare so well and this very popular event. This was a great way to cap off a fantastic season in 2008!!
